DODGEBALL

The game Dodgeball is played according to the following term and rules. The game dodgeball is played between two teams. This game required a rectangular playground 20 meter long and 10 meter wide. The number of players in a team may be 9 or 11 or 14. Out of 14 players, 7 will be in the own court. 2/2 will remain outside of the of the  opponents court and 3 behind the end line of the court. The play begins with toss. The winner team of toss is awarded ball. The players of toss winning team begin the play on getting signal from the referee. They pass the ball to their own teammates and try to stricke the opponent players within the court with the ball to obtain points. Players playing within the court, may not cross the boundary line of the court during the play. Similarly, the players standing behind the end line, may not be cross that end line to enter into the court.  The opponent team gets the ball, in case a player during the play crosses the boundary line of the court. Then the players of the opponent team also pass the ball to their own teammates and try to strike the players of the facing court with the ball to get points.

If a player succeeds in striking the opponent player, his team gets one point. The player who has been striken with the ball, goes out of the court and sits behind the right end line of the opponent’s court. At the same time , one player from the left side enters into his own court and others standing out of the court change their position in anti-clockwise direction. The play resumes after the players have changed their position. The owner of the ball team begins to play again. The player will not be give out in case the ball has touched the ground first and then it has striken to the player. In such circumstances, the point will not be awarded and the play will be resumed by the opponent team. Only the players playing inside the court can be striken. Duration of the game is 10 minutes. The team which gates more points, is declared winner.
